About the Teacher

Enrico Aquino, a young pianist from New Jersey, first attracted attention in 1991 when he made his New York debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. "Enrico Aquino's performance was technically brilliant, the expression with which he played is seldom seen in today's performers." The Star Ledger.

Enrico began his musical training at the age of three with his father. He gave his first public performance at the age off six. He has performed widely in the New York and New Jersey area. He started his collegiate education in music at Manhattan School of Music in NY.

A Scholarship to Ithaca college sent this young pianist to study Performance and Education in a combined degree program in upstate NY. After performing for several master classes including famed pianists John Browning and Santiago Rodriguez, Enrico headed to the University of Maryland to pursue his Masters degree in piano performance. He has become the director of music at a local music school in central NJ and performs in the NY tri-state area. His true focus is in teaching and guiding students to become the best pianinsts they can, while still enjoying the music.
